One of the simplest, yet most dramatic, changes we make to many family rooms is painting fireplaces……
We just worked on this fireplace last week. We changed it from boring white…
to a warm glazed beauty……
Ahhhhhhhhhh…..What a difference a little cream glaze makes!
You can learn this same cream glaze in my Paint Finish of the Month Club! It’s my number one selling finish and you can see why — it’s GORGEOUS! It’s neutral finish that can be distressed as a shabby chic or French country look. My paint club includes access to 20 DIY Finishes for cabinets, ceilings, walls, garages … and fireplaces!!

That looks amazing!
Love how it highlights all the details of the woodwork!
What a gorgeous finish. Well done!
Just emailed your link to my daughter. I have told her to glaze her mantel. Maybe now she will do it!
Oh my gosh! I’ve been wanting to do something to my fireplace…but the hubster cannot picture it. I just emailed him these “before & after” pix. Maybe I can get him on board. We have cocoa colored walls and he likes white trim with them. Maybe I can convince him to keep his white trim and let me have the fireplace…
Such a timely post for me. I am finally getting around to catching up on some blog reading and making an occasional comment of two. 🙂
I just finished up with The Traveling Door sale and life is returning to normal and I am ready to revisit my living room project. I have been looking at my fireplace with a less than enthusiastic eye. I will be posting about it soon and this may be just the look I need.
Thanks for the inspiration.
