A royally sweet day!

Our family had sa-wwwweeet day yesterday.

No… these boys of mine did NOT skip school to see the Big 12 – MU vs NE game.

You only THOUGHT you saw them on the Jumbo tron 3 times. Ahem…… ok, maybe they did skip school.

Daddy gave the boys the Big 12 royal treatment. They thought they were kings!

Ava Grace was introduced to worms (much to my dismay).

Momma had to explain that pretty, pretty PRINCESSES do NOT pick up worms.

EVER.

And I felt like a QUEEN!

Look at what I found at the Goodwill for $9.99!

Be still my beating heart! Look at those cool doors!!! Should I paint it turquoise? Black? Cream? Shall I keep it? Sell it?

My imagination is running wild!

And Daddy didn’t even exhale loudly when he saw how we shoved/pushed/wrangled my treasure into the back of my truck.

I think he is getting numb to it. Gosh he’s a good man.

It was a sweet day.

I see all of this cool stuff that people find at Goodwill but I keep coming up with a great big goose egg. I guess it is one of those hit and miss things and I need to be more consistent.
I can’t wait to see what you do with this.

I can’t wait to see how you turn that piece out! And as girly as my little girl is, she also has a rough side to her. She’ll play in mud wearing a skirt and heels. I credit her big bro for it! Your little boys look like they are just coolest of the cool. Lucky boys!

What a great find. What about a cream or ivory distresssed and glazed finish with gold and silver tipping on some of the architecture and metallic up the hardware…like the “Clairborne Ivory Chest” on the Horschow website?

I did a paper at my sister in laws house a few years ago that looked just like that–I swear we are sisters seperated and just didn’t know it. If you get to work on another project and we move back to KC –I want to help you. That would be soooo fun.

I love the furniture–I still the eye rolls till he sees what I have completed. He goes through spells where he says I know it will be wonderful-do your thing and then other times he gives me the eye roll and then I have to make it wonderful, just because of the eye roll.

    Jennifer,

I sent you these 2 messages to you and then one other gal a message (from the Renovations Post) and I just got a failure to deliver but it doesn’t show who it was not delivered to, so I am going to add these to a post of yours.

I have you scheduled for April 1 for the Tutorial. If you are wanting to
go ahead and send it to me you can. What you need to do: Copy the HTML
code of your post and paste it into an e-mail and send it to me.

I will look it over and make sure I can see all the pictures and I will
    add an introduction.

OOPS, as soon as I hit send I remembered you asked about the Renovations.
I had a button on my side bar that would take people to a page that
explained my parties and had each button but some people were sending me
e-mails that they didn’t see any buttons of mine on my side bar so I just
placed them on the front page. I was tring to make it look neater and
cleaner but I don’t want it to be difficult, especially if someone isn’t
used to techy stuff. I am working on a bulletin board that people can
click if they are new or just wanting info on how to get around to all the
places on my blog. It will have all the give aways there and info about
    the parties.

Renovated–does not have to be an antique. It can be something made over as well. Antiques are definitely welcome but it is not restricted to them alone. As soon as I have a couple of more things done on this blog move I will get back to doing more projects and as people see stuff that I put on there, I think they will get more comfortable adding projects.

Jennifer–One thing about me, I really try to be as nice as can be and if
someone posts something that doesn’t quite fit I don’t send them a nasty e-mail, if they forget to add my button I ask that it get added in–most blog parties delete those people without an e-mail. The Sunday I moved my blog I had my post ready but hadn’t added in my project yet. I think it was still drying and I had to get pictures download…so I went ahead and posted it to parties and thought I would add in my project later. I had my favs listed so it still showed projects and it had a give-a-way on there. One gal sent me a note that she didn’t want me to post to her party unless I had a project on there.

I get other blogger who do nothing but post other peoples projects, post
to me all the time and I know they post to the other parties too. I just
try to be nice and fun. I don’t want people to come here and worry–just
have fun. I want it to be the FUNNEST BLOG ON THE BLOCK.
