Every year, for as long as I can remember, I have always potted all the flower pots at our house in the spring. And to tell you the truth, I love how the planters look after they’re planted but the overall experience just isn’t something I enjoy.
I don’t like buying things that are small so I try to big flowers already growing. But, it seems like I never buy enough of them or enough potting soil and end up going to a bunch of different places and making a lot of trips. Not sure if you feel the same way but potting the flowers feels like a chore, something I HAVE to do.
This year it occurred to me that there must be people who plant pots, not a landscaper but someone who just plants pots for people like me, who don’t enjoy it.
So I started asking some friends about this. My dear friend, Ashley, knew a girl locally. I messaged Julie at Adorn Planters right away. Friends, this was the easiest, smoothest transaction ever. Like ever ever.
All Julie needed to know was how many flower pots I had, the width of the opening at the top of each flower pot, which direction the house faced, what I liked in terms of colors and textures. She gave me a price based on the inches (btw, this isn’t a sponsored post, I just loved the ease of this experience so much!).
I told her I love color, varying heights, stuff that gets tall and that I don’t like maintenance (like deadheading flowers). In other words I want colorful and obnoxious and low maintenance. Lol.
I had no idea what she was bringing, and honestly I was a little nervous. She came over, after several hours was done, sent me a bill and BADA BING BADA BOOM my flower pots were planted for the year! And she did an amazing job! I was so impressed.
I will literally never plant my flower pots again. When I thought about the time I would’ve spent and the cost of flowers, the expense of this service was not all that much different from what it would have been for me to do it all. This is a genius business idea and I am so glad my friend shared Julie from Adorn Planters with me!
