The first year we lived in this house, we focused on remodeling the first floor. We did our kitchen, living room, dining room, and my office.
The second year, we focused on finishing the basement.
But this year, we have been working on projects outside of the house.
Perhaps you have seen the photos of the outdoor stone fireplace and the stone behind the outdoor bar and now we are working on the wall that goes around the pool.
The stone wall around the pool needed to be painted sooooo badly and I wasn’t sure this was the solution but I needed to try something!
You can see in the photo below where I was at the halfway point and I was looooving how it’s looking!
This was a super fast project because I wasn’t painting the rocks completely solid, like on the other two projects, for two reasons: a) I’m lazy lol b) if the paint doesn’t hold up and chips off, it won’t matter because it’s done in a sporadic fashion anyway.
I used the same materials from the last project when I went to our local Sherwin-Williams and told them I was getting ready to paint some stone on the outside of our house. This was the primer/paint they suggested I use.
A bunch of people have messaged me and asked if the paint will hold up, and the truth is…I don’t know. All I know is I hated the brown rock and I needed something different.
I love how it turned out. It looks so much brighter and lighter.
Next up is going to be the concrete around the pool (we’re having that professionally done though, that’s too much work for us!)
