Red crackled tv cabinet Jennifer Allwood
This was a brand new TV stand that a client of mine bought. It’s sturdy with good lines… but a bit ordinary.

(This post contains affiliate links for the products I use & love! I only recommend that what I use!)

I painted it in a red that is almost pink to start with. (it looks orange here).

Yes, this is my kitchen.
Yes, I do have a garage that is empty.
Yes, I have a studio in the basement.
Yes, I think it annoyed my hubby, but he was sweet enough to not tell me.
I just like painting in my kitchen. There is really no room in my house that is off limits.

I crackled a few spots.

Then I glazed it with Stain and Seal….. my favorite on furniture!! And  X-Thinner.

After it dried, I added more glaze to all the edges to give it a “smoked” look.

I added “fly specking”….

And called it done.

All while it balanced on 4 cans of corn and 1/2 off the drop cloth (which is actually a blanket).

It’s very professional people. Just keeping it real.

It turned out so good in person. Client is thrilled. I love my job today.

It is great!! I love the smoky effect. You always make me want to paint a piece of furniture from Craigslist. You inspire us!

I paint in my entry way only because there is no room in the kitchen. So I get you!

Can’t wait to see some video!
