Ok, so maybe I haven’t repainted my chalkboard 348 times.

But this WAS the 4th time.

Next time, someone PLEASE remind me that “John Deere Green” belongs in the corn field,

Not on my chalkboard.

And “avacodo” belongs on my salads….

not my chalkboard frame (it made my cabinets look pink–gross!!!!).

And “cinnamon” belongs on toast….

not my chalkboard frame.

And now the chalkboard paint is peeling off with my tape.

NICE.

Why didn’t I leave it cream like I had it the first time???????????????????????????

I like the avocado! It gives some definition and stands out a bit. Cream is gorgeous too, though!

    LOL!!

Try distressing the works to bring out the different colours, then cover it with your original, then distress again and glaze. Could turn out to be quite interesting!

Or.. a perfect base for another coat of something. LOL

But, the ribbon always stayed the same! Looks wonderful, hey why not change with the seasons. Maybe just change the quote each time you feel like painting.

I LOVE the cream, but experimenting with color is the only way you’ll find something new and fun that you like. At least you didn’t repaint your cabinets 3 times like I did last week! I actually liked the avocado, too.

How about black? That would stand out from your cabinets, look great with your ribbon??

If it was me I would leave the one inch band next to the chalkboard cream and then I would do the rest in black. You could also gold leaf the thing and antique the heck out of it. That should good up against those cabinets.
To me the cream just doesn’t pop out from the cabinets enough.

But thank you for getting rid of that green. lol

Too funny! Can’t wait to see it finished or maybe I am missing something and you went back to cream!? Either way I am sure it will be fab!

OOPS..I accidentally deleted my comment, so here I go again.

Gosh, I really like the cinnamon finish. I think it really pops against your cabinet and looks great with the animal print ribbon.

I actually like the avocado one! But yes, I can see how it gives a pinky hue to your cabinets… though not as much as the John Deere did.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love cinnamon, both on the frame and on my toast… But the cream one is gorgeous too!
