Why I’m in Love with Agate Decor + Wall Art

I have fallen in love with a few agate home decor pieces and I want to share them with you.

First of all, I just want you to know I am NOT a designer. The fact that agate is on trend is neither here nor there to me…. I just like how it looks. Agate is usually very colorful and I love color!!! I just think it’s beautiful. That’s it. That’s the bottom line.

I had been eyeing this blue and gold abstract wall hanging at HomeGoods. The contrasting colors of deep cobalt blue (my power color) and the shimmering gold make it look like a mineral … or geode … or something from the depths of the earth. I have to admit, I was indecisive about buying this piece and sent Mr. Magic right back to the store to buy it after we got home. ???? I wish there was HomeGoods shopping online …

I found this pink agate clock from Tuesday Morning. It is a slice of agate … with the fuchsia and gold that I am digging right now. Right now it’s on my bookshelf. I love that it shows all the bands of color and is a traditional “slice” of agate.

I also found this pink agate rock from HomeGoods… where I seem to be getting everything lately! It’s on my bookshelf too and adds a vibrant pop of girlie color and looks so good with the gold. Just one of those knickknacks that makes me happy!

And what’s really fun … we recently had a guest instructor in my Paint Finish of the Month group teach an geode-inspired furniture finish! Take a look…

Jennifer Ross from Scenic Highway created this finish. Although, she taught our painting group last month and this finish is no longer available to new members .. I wanted to show you how creative and inventive some of our furniture finishes are! And I think it’s fun to play with color and the things you love!

As you may already know, Tuesday Morning and HomeGoods home decor items are NOT ALWAYS ONLINE. So I’ve curated some very similar home agate decor (and non agate) decor items for you here … for your shopping convenience. I found some really fun items!

Adding a wall art decor to your house, office, or your buildings’ interior can create an impact. Art helps in creating a mood that you want for your interior and can help express what you want others to feel as well. It is important to know first what type of wall art is suitable for your interior’s setting. Thank you for sharing this helpful information!

Admiring the commitment you put into your blog and the detailed information you offer. It’s nice to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed information. Wonderful read!
