I love the idea of writing God’s Bible scriptures on the walls of your home anytime you are remodeling or building a home.
I know years ago in my best friend Laura’s home, a bunch of us gathered in her house when it was in the building stage we all wrote Bible scriptures on the walls. I just think it’s a great idea for covering your house in God’s word and staking your claim that your home belongs to the Lord.
You guys were watching along as I wrote Bible scriptures on many of the walls in our home on Instagram recently. (If you don’t already follow me on Instagram you can find me: @jenniferallwood.) So many of you reached out to me about this, I decided to blog about it here and share some of our written scriptures.
You can write on your walls in pencil because it doesn’t come through paint. So anytime you’re getting ready to re-paint or remodel, or put new carpet or flooring, it’s an opportune time to write on the foundations of your home.
Here are some of the scriptures we wrote before painting:
“I will lie down and sleep in peace for you along O’Lord make me dwell in safety” Psalm 4:8
I put that in my kid’s rooms!
“For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways” Psalm 91:11
“Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
“Through wisdom a house is built by understanding it is established by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches” Proverbs 24:34
“I will lie down and sleep in peace, for your alone, O’Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8
You can do it on your kid’s walls before they get painted and they will LITERALLY have no idea that they are being surrounded by Bible scriptures! LOL
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
“She is more precious than jewels” Prov 3:10 . This one went in Ava’s room!
“I am a princess and my father is the King of Kings” 1 Peter 2:9
Ava’s room also!
“You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.” Deut 6:5
Writing scriptures on your bare walls and floors is just another way of claiming your property for the Lord! Share this idea with a friend who is remodeling or building! ????

I love this idea, but as I was reading I was thinking, “why paint over them?” Paint them BOLDLY on the wall. Last week I was reading a book about Benjamin Franklin’s family and someone in the family would write Bible verses on the walls of their home. I LOVE THIS. I will be doing this as well.
Thank you for sharing.
