We’ve finally made it to replacing the lights in our home remodel! Super exciting!
We worked with Best Lighting Kansas City for all of our lights in the home remodel. And the kitchen island lights are probably my favorite of them all!
TRUTH: Mr. Magic was the one who actually picked out these out!!!
When he first showed them to me, I just wasn’t sure because I have always loved chandeliers and crystals. But then I literally became obsessed with them!!!
We had 3 things we were keeping in mind for our island lighting:
- We wanted them to be light and airy (So we could see through them to where the tile is on the big picture window.)
- We wanted gold (of course).
- We wanted them to be big to be in scale with the island size.
Take a look…
We still need to decorate on the counter tops and in the white built in, but I couldn’t wait to show you!
And because I know you will ask, we got the gold bar stools here.
I’m obsessed with the ROUND light bulbs. They just make these lights!
I can’t say enough good things about working with BestlightingKC. And we have a ton more new lights to show you coming up!

Though gold looks more traditional, these light fixtures look more stylish and glamorous. Love them 🙂
I like your kitchen! Just curious as to why your style changed to a more contemporary style from a “shabby” chic look you had in your last home. It was adoreable!
You never mentioned the name of the pendant light…
I have looked all through the bestlightingkc website and don’t see this light fixture anywhere. Not sure why you sourced other things, but not the light fixture in your post? Just curious what the name of the fixture is and whether it’s a chandelier, pendant, or foyer light. Thx!!
