Introductions and crackling doors

Meet my good friend Becky (and ignore my studio!!!!!!!!).

Meet Becky’s white door that she that had stored away in her basement.

Meet Becky’s daughter who may be an artist in the making and helped us with free labor (and totally added to the “cuteness factor of the night” with her pigtails).

Meet my dear friend “crackle”.

And you’ve already met Stain and Seal here and here.

Meet Becky’s new door. She’s planning on filling it with black and white family photos.

Isn’t it A-DOOR-able???

Are you hiding something pretty in your storage area???

I am linking up to DIY Day , Furniture Feature Friday, and Funky Junk Interior’s party. Check it out for more fun projects!

I have a big hundred year old door that I’ve been wanting to paint…it only has one big pane of glass, but I think it would look awesome with a crackle finish. I love the look of your friend’s door. too cool

Gosh dang! Becky did amazing! I’m going to come up to your paint room to do my first project. I was going to paint an end table on Sunday but then it started snowing. Since I have to do any painting in the ally, and hope to not get caught by the police, I have many factors to work around πŸ™‚

It is adorable! And yes, I have two 1900 french doors in my basement that need some TLC. I think I have to strip them and then make them look old again :).

The door rocks…looks old and weathered. Pefect. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I agree, I wish I could figure out how to replicate that kind of patina with paint. If you do, let me know.

Love it! It looks identical to the french doors I have in my living room leading out to our sunroom…minus the awesome crackling paint! I bet it’ll look great with those pictures in it!
