Trying to get fancy

I am trying to get fancy… notice my name on the picture and the auto signature on the post. But good grief it’s hard. It took longer for me to get my name on the picture than it did for us to stencil that ceiling above! Ha….. that is the price for being fancy I guess!!!

(A special thank you to Kate from the Gaines Gang for turning me on to www.picnik.com for the photo editing. )

So, what do you think? Do you have an easy way to put your name on your pictures?

And how do I make my new auto signature blend in with my background instead of the nice, tighty, whitey box that I have around it right now?

Did I mention I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems???????? That diploma sits on a shelf and laughs at me.

Edited: The blogging world is full of wonderful, generous, SMART ladies like Terri at Artfully Arranged Disarray who figured out my signature problem for me!!!!!!! Coming next post…. no white box! Thanks Terri!!!

no tips…sorry! Not sure what program you used to create the signature, but is there an option to make your background transparent? I wish I was more help. But that ceiling is FANTASTIC! I was thinking of doing something similar in my dining room, but there is so much going on already I didn’t know if it would be too much. Could you lend your opinion? Some vague pictures: http://expertimnot.blogspot.com/2010/01/catching-up-2009s-projects.html

No worries if you can’t get to it. I’m sure you’re super busy. And I’m realizing now that I should have just emailed you. I apologize. :/

It looks great! I don’t know how to do the signature, but I do a watermark in Live Writer and it is easy to do.

    I am definitely computer illiterate!

Let me know when you figure out the photo signature thing…I can do it in photshop, but it just seems like too much trouble.

I love the watermark on the photo that you did. How did you get it to look like real gold?

Oh, and you for your blog signature, try saving it as a .pdf. If you have no background in the program that you created it in, a .pdf will keep it that way.

I’m glad you are signing your photos…I think that’s important.
    As for the siggie..
I tried to make myself one a year ago and I had the same problem with the white box. A friend tried to walk me through and I still couldn’t get it down. I haven’t tried with the new computer. There are tutorials out there that will walk you through it. If I could only remember where they are, I’d tell you. I felt stupid because I couldn’t even do it with a step by step video!

You did a great job! I use Picasa which I learned a few weeks ago. Let us know how you did the signature. I would love to try it. My Finance degree is sitting in a Rubbermaid bin. Don’t feel bad.

I love your signature, I noticed it a couple posts ago and wanted to run off and make one just like it! (dont worry, I didnt 🙂 )

Have we ever realized that we have the same degree? gads…… what were we thinking?

I like the watermark idea but gotta be honest – I like the look of your sig way better- not sure, I think it just looks too much like a grade schooler wrote it, and your work photos are way professional…. jmo
