So, this is the wallpaper that was in the bathroom when we moved in.
Taking down that wallpaper was one of the FIRST things we did when we moved into the new house.
The new wallpaper we added is pink and gray and it’s seriously gorgeous. You can find a full blog post on that HERE.
After updating the wallpaper, we held off on a lot of decorating in there. It just wasn’t a major priority at first.
Once it was time to start decorating, one of the main things I wanted to update was the vanity area. I didn’t love the heavy cement countertop or copper-colored sink that was there when we moved in. They just didn’t lend themselves to the more modern and colorful vibe that we were going for.
So, we updated that to be a nice, bright, simple white countertop so the rest of the fun decor in the bathroom could really stand out.
And my friend Deb helped us find this amaaaazing blue bathroom sink. Ohmygoodness, I love it so much. It’s by Miseno and you can find it HERE. It’s super affordable! You know we had to tie in the Allwood Family Power Color!! The gold faucet is by Kohler and you can find it HERE!
We also found this amazing gold chandelier from build.com HERE, which is the same one leading down the steps to our basement. And those super cute arrows above the toilet are from Hobby Lobby.
The big gold mirror is one Jason found at a garage sale for me for $20. It’s a funny story because the guy was like, “Hurry up, take this for $20 before my wife comes out and is pissed that it’s gone”. LOL so, that was hilarious.
So, we painted these candlesticks HOT pink. We also did the same thing with our pots outside. We’ll have a blog post on that coming soon! THIS is the spray paint color we used. I’m obsessed with how bright it is… fuchsia just makes me sooo happy. Those are the same candlesticks I’ve been collecting from different places for years! They’re usually in a cluster in front of my fireplace… you can find a pic of that on my Facebook page. It looks like the candlesticks are sold out online, but they do have some similar ones HERE!
That gray bench is one I actually found at a garage sale and refinished with faux fur! Check out the tutorial on that HERE! You guys know my love for faux fur… you can find the pink rug HERE!
So, there you have it, my friends! Another light, bright, and modern home remodel project in the Allwood household!
