I just made a FUN spring door decor that is simple, quick and I’ve already gotten so many compliments on it!
This post is sponsored by Hobby Lobby. I am always happy to collaborate with companies I love!
It started when I was in my beloved Hobby Lobby and saw this ribbon. It was the first thing I put in my cart.
Now I know what you’re thinking, but that ribbon isn’t even on the project? Yeah, I know. Lol. I wish I could tell you that I always have the vision 100% up front but the truth is, sometimes I get something done and something looks “off” to me…. so I change it.
I hope that confession makes you feel better about your project detours and mishaps too!
So I started with the ribbon.
And then I found this adorable moss and burlap bunny. I can’t remember if it was 40% or 50% off, but you guys know Hobby Lobby….. it WAS on sale!
And into my cart it went!
Next I got this pretty white frame because I knew it would show up well on my door…. something you have to think about!
My front door is painted a deep navy that I showed you IN THIS POST and when I was considering what to make for spring, I knew I needed to take that into consideration.
The white pops off the navy! yahoo!
I started with 2 strips of the ribbon.
And I stapled them with a staple gun to the back of the top of the frame. I use a staple gun for everything. Seriously.
Need to recover a chair? Staple gun.
Want to “hold” your curtains up to your window to see if you like them? Staple gun.
I tied the top in an know and cut the excess ribbon off the bottom.
So the bunny was cute and all, but I am kind of a bling over burlap kind of girl.
So I went to my handy Tupperware dish of old jewelry, discarded pieces, bling and miscellaneous shiny stuff.
And I hooked this broach to the bunny’s burlap. Much cuter now.
Then I needed to attach the bunny to the frame. The front door of my house get hot…. like burn your hands hot… even in spring. So I knew glue wouldn’t work.
So I wired it on. Sometimes I surprise myself with those ideas. Lol.
I rummaged thru my pile of flowers and greenery and found some that stuck perfectly in the burlap bow!
I got the door decor up and honestly, something was just slightly off to me. I decided it was the cute ribbon. Yes, the one I originally started this project with. So I swapped it out for this other Hobby Lobby ribbon that had more yellow in it to tie in with the flowers, and then I loved it!
I also at the last minute grabbed a tube of my gold Rub and Buff from Hobby Lobby and literally just wiped it on the detailing of the frame WHILE it was hanging on my door. Cuz’ ain’t nobody got time to take it down and change it!
Those little 2 minute details are the game changers. It added such a sweet bit of shine to the frame. Perfect!
And here is the whole thing put together!
I love my spring bunny!
I would guess this whole project took me 20 minutes to make! Something YOU could totally do too!
Don’t forget about Hobby Lobby’s 40% off coupon!

I have this bunny and I love her, however I love the broach idea! I am going to have to add some bling. Cause every girl needs a little bling in her life. 🙂
Looks wonderful! I love it! Thanks for sharing and Happy Upcoming Easter to you! Leticia
This is super adorable! I love that you added touches of gold to your frame! Such a small addition that adds so much to the decor. Thanks for sharing your DIY with us at Merry Monday this week!
Very cute! Love the touch of bling and the antiquing of a frame.
