I have been drooling over these oversized metal trays I have been seeing online for awhile. And I know many people are stumped on what to do for tray decor with such a HUGE tray. So, I wanted to give you a few ideas that you can either use or tweak! And since it’s fall I am going crazy with the pumpkin decor!!
This is some of my favorite fall decor right now. Champagne glittered pumpkins mixed with some greenery and white pumpkins…. love! My friend Riki gave me the glittered pumpkins last year. Delightful, aren’t they???
This post does contain some affiliate links for your convenience and a big thank you to Bits of Vintage for providing the tray for this post! Please read my disclaimer and privacy policy.
I also styled the tray with my candle bunch. Normally I have this candle cluster in front of my fireplace, but it was super easy to use them as tray decor without a lot of planning and rearranging, etc. If you struggle to “put things together”… this is a great option. I have gathered and painted these candlesticks over the years, but you can usually find some cream and gray candlesticks HERE online.
This is perhaps my FAVORITE tray decor. I used ornamental cabbage because apparently that is a thing???? I also just shoved some bittersweet in the mix that I also purchased at the pumpkin patch. When it doubt for fall decor…. always use bittersweet.
That lantern is from Hobby Lobby and lanterns are always a good choice for holiday decorating and because they are big…. they take up some substantial space in a tray this large which is necessary! (if you love lanterns, I did a Christmas lantern project HERE)
And if you don’t want to do seasonal tray decor….. use the tray for something like this…. a coffee station in your kitchen! I know you will ask me about my cute coffee mug and my friend Kristi made that for me. Uber adorable, isn’t it? And a great gift idea!!
So there you have it! One tray styled 4 ways! If you want the exact tray for yourself, you can get it HERE and we will be tray twinning! =) Or, buy one for a gift idea!
Update — see how I styled this serving tray into a self-serve Hot Cocoa Bar here.
XOXO,
Jen

The table and bench with the words on the words, which are heavily distressed is so cute, too! Do you have a tutorial on that? Thanks so much! =)
Jennifer, you really did have me at the tray and what was in it. The glitz with the rustic is so pretty!
