It started out this out-dated hunter green with brass trim. Definitely 1980s in all its glory!
We painted the green fireplace tile. Yes, we PAINTED IT. (Here’s how.) I demonstrated how in my Paint Finish of the Month club that I give painting techniques to every month. This was our February focus. If you would like to purchase the instructional videos showing me painting tile, simply drop us an email at [email protected] . If you are pretty DIY savvy, I will tell you that I used the following:
- The primer is Ultra Guard
- The paint is French Vanilla
- The wax sealer is both Muddy Brown and Jet Black
While you are shopping HTP products, grab one of my favorite chalk paint brushes so you can tackle your next DIY project with an amazing brush!
And there you go. The entire transformation. Learn how I painted that ugly brass trim by reading this previous post here.
As always, feel free to pin any of these fireplace tile pictures so that you can save the info for later.
Happy painting,
Jennifer

It’s also easy to paint your kitchen tile and fireplace tile! I painted the kitchen tile to get rid of my brown backsplash as my kitchen was transitioning from browns and golds to a new gray color scheme! Painting tile really helps transform an entire room!
