A new holder for my very important hair stuff

Have you seen my hair? I have lots and lots of it. And lots of hair required lots of tools.

I gotta have my blow dryer, a diffuser and a curling iron.

But I swear I only put two curls in my hair at the top of my head just to keep the hair out of my eyes….

So I’m really not stuck in the 1980’s that much…..right?????

(Ok…this is not me….but my hair could totally do this. And if this is you and you are reading my blog….you WEAR THAT HAIR GIRL!!!! No condemnation from me!)

Anywhooo…..

I purchased an old, chippy, crackled planter in a boutique in Louisberg, KS a few weeks ago with no idea what I would do with it.

But it was too ugly/beautiful at the same time to pass up.

Doing my hair the other day, I was marveling at the 1980-ness of my blow dryer holder that I really have had for like 15 years.

Ew. I just apologize now.

Then, it hit me and I had one moment of genius!!!!!!!!

Viola!!!!!!

SIDENOTE:

Please pay no attention to what appears to be “peach” walls.

We all know peach is totally 1980’s and belongs with cobbler in a bowl with ice cream….not on our walls. I swear my walls are “champagne”…the flash just makes them look peach.

Also, pay no attention to the fact that wonderful ,crackled, chippy paint items probably DOES contain lead and therefore should not be licked or chewed on.

Lucky for me I am past the teething stage.

Otherwise I’d be big haired AND buck teethed.

Jeesh.

All for now.

This is too funny! I’ve recently been thinking about why we live with things (like your 80’s dryer holder) for so long without changing them!! We’re all guilty!
Don’t you just love it, though, when inspiration hits?
    Absolutely GREAT idea!

You’re too funny!! I’m totally jealous because I have like 3 hairs. Ughh.. But… I have a piece just like this one and I tested for lead… it was NEGATIVE… so chew away! Ha.

Oh man! I’m laughing sooo hard right now!

I totally used to rock that big hair in the 80’s!!!!

    Great solution, by the way!!!!

    Genius!
Love the new holder and I can relate to the hair issue. With the humidity in Houston today I look like a lion with a huge mane!

So funny! 🙂 And great idea — been thinking of something creative to do with all of my crap… uh, I mean stuff.

love a post that makes me laugh. You are probably lucky that I live like five states away or I would be that person that is always calling you to do things and hang out with me because you are so funny and I just like being entertained by you. 🙂

Love when you can make something functional and pretty! Why we should always purchase things we love. And so jealous of the ’80s girl. I tried sooo hard to have big hair, but could never make it happen.

Too funny that last photo. I Love the holder for your hair gadgets, but I prefer to hide my stuff under the cabinet.

Jennifer, you have shared a side of yourself that I didn’t know about — You are very funny! I suspected that you were, but who is to know for sure? I am very glad you are no longer teething and that you’ve learned how to tame that wild hair of yours. In fact — it’s beautiful. I love the antique chippy piece with all the lead paint. That lead paint really draws me in like a magnet. It looks so wonderful against the “not” peach-looking walls 🙂 Now for some reason I feel a need to gnaw on something so I’m going to see if I can find my metal or something around here!
