I am so excited to show you our new teen boy’s bathroom makeover! This was a fun redo that didn’t cost a lot of money.
Our 13 year old son and our 15 year old son share a bathroom.
It’s looked like this for about 8-9 years.
The toothpaste on the shower curtain was a dead giveaway that it was time for an update.
My goal was to go a little more industrial and a lot more grown up.
We recently redecorated our youngest son’s bedroom with cool industrial bedroom furniture and a wood plank wall. You can see the whole redo HERE. (and I don’t want to leave the other boy out… his baseball mural room is HERE.)

I had a few of his bedroom wall planks leftover, so I asked Mr Magic to use the wood to make a few things for the bathroom.
He made this towel ring using galvanized steel parts which matches the industrial toilet paper holder that he also made. (Get those directions here.)
He made me these towels hooks to match also. These are the same as the bedroom wall hooks we built for jackets and backpacks here. And they look super cute on some of the leftover wood from the wood wall.
We got them a super fun new industrial looking light that you can get HERE.
Isn’t this fun how the ring and the light looks together?
We repainted the red cabinet to black. It look so sleek in their bath and the boys love this! You can learn to paint this black cabinet finish HERE.
My fav part of the whole room tho is the double shower curtains that we hung up (and also the hunk hanging them!).
I wanted the bathroom to feel as tall as possible, so I ordered 2 of the curtains in the longest size I could find…. 84 inches long and we hung them as high as we could with them still skirting the tile at the bottom.
And I love the look of flanking the shower with one on each side!
You can buy this arrow shower curtain HERE.
And don’t forget to order these 2 liners as well!
The paint color is on the wall is Sherwin William’s “Gauntlet Gray” (by the way, if you need help picking out a paint color for your walls, watch my free video with my favorite colors and/or download my paint color list here.)
And there you go. The full makeover!
I gotta also show you that I was looking for something to go over the boy’s toilet.
I know, I know… this is obvious bathroom humor. But it cracked me up. And they were un-amused which made it even funnier.
That arrow was a gift from a friend and made by Junk & Disorderly in KC. You can find similar ones online HERE and HERE.
UPDATE: I gave up and left the grout dirty because nothing was working and it would stay clean for 10 minutes anyway and there are so many other projects to conquer! ha!
XOXO
Jen
