I think I have an obsession with front doors! I repaint mine every 2-3  years! I wholeheartedly believe your front door give visitors a peek inside to your home. It should totally reflect YOU and your person style and the vibe that is inside.

I pinkie swear that painting your front door is a project that ANYONE can do in just a few hour. This is why my door has been so many colors over the years. You can repaint it in no time at all and it makes such a HUGE IMPACT on your home.  I am going to show you my latest color which I am obsessed with!!!

This has been my door color for the last few years. It’s a coral color and I loved it. But  I was bored. (PS. You can get my doormat on this link here.)

Plus, since we just painted our garage doors to look like wood, I thought the color of my front door needed to look a little more sophisticated to go with it. So we got ready to paint!

Modern Masters has a wonderful selection of front door paints that NEVER FADES! I used it awhile back on my neighbor Jody’s front door on this post. The Front Door Paint is water-based (bonus!) and quick-drying (double bonus) so you can finish painting and close your door the same day (important for security!)

I had two colors I was deciding between for my painted front door. I used Modern Masters I-phone and Android app called “Front Door Paint”.   It’s genius!!!!! It’s a free app so totally go get that and then you can take pics like this:

I couldn’t decide between Serene and Peaceful so I asked my Facebook page for their thoughts. It was about 50/50 on the vote. So I went with my gut and chose the lighter color…. SERENE.

To show everyone how easy this paint is to use,  I decided to film it on a Facebook Live video. I show you in this video every supply you need, how to NOT remove the hardware and what to paint on your front door FIRST. And, I repainted my front door in 24 minutes flat. See…… you can do this in a quick afternoon!!!! You can watch my FB live below:

And look at how the door looks now:

I loved it so much that we even painted the INSIDE of the door the same color!!!

It made a big change in the front of our home and the navy color is so much better for hanging fall and winter decor on. Before it kind of blended in but look at it now:

Doesn’t it just pop??? (Get the scoop on my bright fall berry wreath here.)

And here is the outside of the house now.

I dig it.

I would love it if you pinned the graphic we made for you below.

And check out the Front Door Paint on Amazon. Of all the paints I have used in my 16-year career on front doors, this is hands down the easiest to use with the best coverage! You don’t have to remove your hardware and you can shut your door that same day!

Awesomeness!

Happy Painting,
Jen

Hi, can you give me color ideas on what could look good with a home that has both brick and siding? Brick is lower 1/2 and white siding is upper 1/2. I just bought this house a few months ago and have been stuck on what color could look good with that type of house! Thanks!

Hi Jennifer, Just curious if your front door is still painted in serene blue? I want to paint my door blue but not sure if I’m that crazy about serene. Any suggestions for another blue?
