It’s Small Business Saturday and MY small business changed our family

Small Business Saturday - file cabinet label, bronze holder agai

I can remember when my husband and I were thinking of starting a family.  I was working full-time as a software developer and we just couldn’t figure out how to get me down to part-time or how to get me working from home so that I could be home with our kids.  My full-time desk job just did not fit into the picture we had for raising a family.

Thankfully, I was laid off from that full-time job that I hated.

Thankfully, I decided during that time to roll the dice at starting my own faux painting company.

Thankfully, we never looked back because it changed the dynamics of raising our family.

One of the most amazing things about being a business owner is that you can orchestrate your business any old way you want. You can work as much or as little as you want. You can take or turn down projects as you want. You can set your hours to work with your family and your schedule and I’ve never been so grateful for the FREEDOM that owning my own business has given my family. I was able to stay at home and raise our kiddos while running a business I loved.  And I would not change that for the world.

So, in honor of Small Business Saturday, I would love to first of all say thank you.  Thank you for supporting me…. a small business owner. And then I want to encourage you to shop small.  And shop local.

I’d also like to encourage you to look at a few of my products that could help YOU or someone YOU LOVE start the journey to self employment and FREEDOM for their family.  This is more than just painting.  This is about having the TOOLS and the CONFIDENCE and the DIRECTION to start something different for your future.

First, I recently offered a webinar for people interested in starting a cabinet painting business.  The recording is available HERE.  You will not get to see me on the screen or get my contract emailed to you, but you will get 2 hours of our recorded information on how I have built the business I have.  I believe with all my heart that what I do is not JUST ABOUT making homes beautiful.  It’s also about teaching other women how to find freedom for themselves.  When women find they have a talent and that they can make money from that talent…. FREEDOM comes.  Check out the webinar here.  All of my videos, including my webinar, are HALF OFF thru Monday night when you use the code BLACKFRIDAY50 at checkout.

In addition, I talked in the webinar about “The Big 4” cabinet samples.  That is my Cream with a Glaze, Distressed Black, Chestnut Stain and a plain white cabinet sample. Those the the 4 samples that  I sell for cabinet jobs 99% of the time.  Every one of them is 1/2 off this weekend using the code BLACKFRIDAY50 at checkout.  You can find them all here.

That webinar + those 4 videos are all you need for the startup of a successful faux painting company. But if you are still feeling froggy and want additional education, I would highly suggest my Marketing video that you can find here.  It gives you ways to get your company name out to the area in which you live.  You can be talented as all get out, but if no one can find you….it will not matter!  I tell you what has worked for me and what has flopped for me.  It will hopefully make your marketing plan easier to navigate.  It is also 1/2 off with the code BLACKFRIDAY50 thru Monday!

It’s important to me to be a cheerleader of women.  I want to see many of you succeed in this business.  And I want to see many of you succeed in your hearts.

Your future and your family’s future just may depend on YOU taking a leap of faith.  You can do it and I want to help.

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Otherwise, blessings to you and yours on this blessed Thanksgiving weekend.

With love,

Jennifer
