You might remember this blog post I did a few years ago where I shared with you that Emily Swindell, a woman in my coaching group, is able to take a photo and turn it into wallpaper.
Well, we had ordered this wallpaper from Emily before Ari had come to live with us and waaaay before we knew we were going to adopt her.
So when Ari was becoming a part of our family, I felt horrible! I always want Ari to feel part of our family and never left out, especially since the adoption is now finalized. So, I had to figure out a way to include her on this wall without simply photoshopping her into the photo when she wasn’t actually there.
I messaged Emily and asked if we could somehow use the wall next to the wall the paper was already on and add a photo of Ari on a beach? And she said she could totally do that! Isn’t modern technology fun???
So even though it wasn’t taken at the same time as the photo with the older kids, it looks similar and it turned out amazing. Emily was able to get the “sand line” to match up and the colors are perfect!!!!!
I love how it all turned out! It’s so unique and it’s a perfect contrast and personal touch to the rest of our house. And Ari feels included…. Just like she should!
Here is what the wall looked like before we added the mural of the three kids.
Here it is with the three kids.
And finally with all four kids. I’m obsessed with it! Message the store owner Emily Swindell if you have any photos you’d love turned into wallpaper!
Xoxo,
