My first chalkboard project

I have completed my first chalkboard project. I know, I know…..I was slow to get on board.

I have had this $1 garage sale picture for almost a year (read original post here).

I’ve had this quart of chalkboard paint for almost the same amount of time.

I’ve had this blank spot on the side of my kitchen cabinets that just seems so bare….

I have this adorable husband who isn’t afraid to make holes in my cabinets.

I have this precious 2 year old who wants in all my pictures (look close…she is hiding).

I have this love of crystal knobs and animal prints.

I have a love for my Savior… Jesus Christ.

I now have a place where it all comes together perfectly.

(heading into my kitchen from my dining room)

Hopefully I will get on the next decorating “thing” before it’s almost over!

The Nester is having a chalkboard party here. Click over to get inspired!

This is so great, Jennifer! I love the shape of that frame and what a great way to hang it. I have a cabinet panel on the one side of my refrigerator where something like this would work great. I don’t think my hubby would be as accomodating to drill a hole in it though {even though it’s a panel and not a whole cabinet!}.

Jen…that looks so stinkin cute! I am giggling because I am making a chalkboard out of my old calendar holder…while my paint drys I was checking blogs! We share a brain. Yours is much cuter…can’t go wrong with crystal knobs and cheetah ribbon!!

I can’t wait to try what you said, I think I will use the inside of my bathroom vanity door to check to see if the glaze will stick!
